Global White Lion Protection Trust
In my book The Hope, I recommend to everyone to follow their heartbreak. I have found that opening to one's heartbreak helps you discover your true mission. I am heartbroken about many things as I imagine you are, but what breaks my heart the most is humanity's appalling cruelty to animals. I believe if we do not fundamentally rediscover our own animal souls, we will continue through our dissociated lunacy towards animals to create a tsunami of dark karma that will eventually destroy us.
As Hopi prophecy says "If humanity does not rediscover the mother in the creation and change its behavior, the mother will shake humanity off the earth like a dog shakes off its fleas." My whole understanding of animals has taken a quantum leap because I have just spent 10 days in the mystical heartland of Africa- Timbavati, where I was given the great grace of meeting and being with a pride of white lions that are amongst the most endangered species on earth.
Being with the white lions wasn't simply a great joy since they are perhaps the most beautiful creatures on earth, it was also a revelation because guided by my friend Linda Tucker who's great book The Mystery of the White Lions will be out next year with Hay House and who guides the Global White Lion Protection Trust, I was able to begin to know that they are also living embodiments of the divine consciousness. And holy messengers of the sacred connection that we are all going to need with each other and with nature to transform our contemporary chaos into order and grace.
My great friend Sheryl Leach who is an enlightened philanthropist has bought several thousand acres in Timbavati to help Linda Tucker preserve the white lions under good conditions not only so they can thrive, but also so that their message of unity to all humanity can start to spread. My Executive Director Jill Angelo is going to be working with Linda Tucker on her tour in May next year and I will appearing with Linda because my next book is going to be about the sacred nature of animals and our connection with them.
Jill's goal is to set up an extensive commercial network through which the handicrafts of local villages can be sold to provide the Global White Lion Protection Trust with enough money to buy an adjoining parcel of land that will help sustain another pride of lions and protect the existing one. This work is urgent because of the strength of the horrifying canned hunting industry in South Africa which breeds white lions in cages to be shot brutally for up to $150,000.
I consider animal rights to be one of the essential transformative goals of Sacred Activism. And since Jill's and my destinies have taken us to the white lions we would be extremely grateful if you would find ways to help us and help them. With Linda's excited approval we intend to plan 2 trips next year to Timbavati of not more than 14 people at a time.
